Amba's Uva Oolong is a semi-oxidized tea from the Amba Tea Estate located in Sri Lanka's Uva highland region. It combines classic Chinese Oolong tea tradition with the characteristics of a Ceylon tea in a new and unique way. The tea is full-bodied, soft, and rich in flavor, delighting with a rare combination of floral, grassy-buttery, and sweet honey notes, rounded off with a touch of the wintergreen typical of the silicate-rich soils of the Uva highlands.
For Western-style brewing, initially pour 2-3g of Amba TGOP tea leaves per 100ml into a suitable vessel with about 90°C hot water. Then, let it steep for 2-3 minutes according to personal taste preferences. After that, the second infusion practically equals the first.
This tea also lends itself well to using similar parameters as the western style brewing but using shorter brewing times like 15-30 seconds and brewing the tea multiple times.
